To identify, support, train and retain qualified and compassionate new Nurse Practitioner graduates, whose career goals coincide with ACHC’s mission to improve the health of the people in and around rural, underserved and diverse communities.

In response to the growing need for an expert primary care workforce, ACHC is committed to prepare and motivate qualified and compassionate new Nurse Practitioner graduates to practice a model of primary care congruent with the national and organizational standards, which consist of integrated, preventive-focused and patient-centered care. We believe that a well-organized and intensive one year post graduate residency plays an important role in training new Nurse Practitioner graduates to become highly effective, competent and independently autonomous. Those are the qualities we seek to develop and retain in our expert primary care providers, whom can successfully integrate into our complex capacity as a federally qualified health center, delivering high quality, affordable, culturally sensitive, primary care to our rural, undeserved and diverse communities.
